Toronto Airways is one of our main flight training partners in Canada-East region. Toronto Airways boasts a rich history, having initiated flight training services in 1963 at the Buttonville Municipal Airport. Over the subsequent 55 years, the operation expanded significantly in both size and scope, offering pilot training and various related services to the aviation industry. However, recognizing the increasing value of the Buttonville Municipal Airport lands in the heart of Markham, Toronto Airways foresaw the necessity of relocating to sustain its legacy in aviation. Acknowledging the imminent redevelopment of the Buttonville Municipal Airport lands, Toronto Airways proactively sought alternative airport locations. In 1998, the strategic move came to fruition as Toronto Airways acquired Canadian Flight Academy, a flourishing flight training provider situated at the Oshawa Executive Airport. This decision not only secured the future of Toronto Airways but also marked a pivotal moment in the company's continued commitment to aviation excellence.
